Minor Works Certificate For Up To 3 Circuits
The Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (commonly called the Minor Works Certificate or MWC) was first introduced in 1993. BS 7671 Defines minor works as:
‘Additions and alterations to an installation that do not extend to the provision of a new circuit’.
‘Examples include the addition of socket-outlets or lighting points to an existing circuit, the relocation of a light switch etc’.
It has stayed the same for a long time and many of our users had requested a new version of this certificate to fit in with a more productive workflow provided by iCertifi. Technology, electrical installations and working practices have moved on a lot since 1993. We set about designing and implementing a 3 Circuit Minor Works Electrical Certificate into iCertifi. Based on the IET model its covers everything set out in the modal forms with the extra benefit of condensing pro forma for contractors, the environment and clients. Our 3 Circuit Minor Works Electrical Certificate also has the addition of “reviewed by” section for a QS to check and sign off the minor works that exceeds the IET model
