Landlords Interim Electrical Checklist
Landlords are legally obliged to provide and maintain rental properties in a safe condition. It is recommended that the electrical installation is formally inspected and tested regularly. This can be easily achieved with iCertifi’s Landlords Interim Electrical Checklist
Regulations came into force on 1 June 2020 to improve safety in all residential premises and particularly in the private rented sector. This requires landlords to have the electrical installations in their properties inspected and tested by a person who is qualified and competent. From 1 April 2021, the Regulations apply in all cases where a private tenant has a right to occupy a property as their only or main residence and pays rent. This includes assured shorthold tenancies and licences to occupy.

iCertifi’s Landlords Interim Electrical Safety Checklist is designed to help Electricians, landlords, Letting Agents, surveyors and more to carry out a regular electrical safety check on let properties.
This electrical certificate checklist supplements formal periodic inspection and testing (EICR). The Landlords Interim Checklist should be used during the interim period (at least every 12 months) to identify any electrical safety risks that may exist at the property. In addition, if your electrical installation is new, this checklist may be used for the Interim period up to the first formal inspection and test.
