How to Transfer Certificates from iCertifi to iCertifi Cloud Pro

Upgrading to iCertifi Cloud Pro?

You can bring all your existing certificates with you. It takes about 30 seconds.

What You'll Need

  • iCertifi (original app) installed on your device
  • iCertifi Cloud Pro installed on the same device
  • Both apps must be up to date
iCertifi transfer to iCertifi Cloud Pro

Step 1: Export from iCertifi

  1. Open iCertifi (must be V12.12.41 or above)
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Scroll down to Transfer to Cloud Pro
  4. Tap Transfer Certificates to Cloud Pro
  5. Wait for the success message – this confirms your certificates are ready

Step 2: Import into Cloud Pro

  1. Open iCertifi Cloud Pro ON THE SAME DEVICE (must be V2.3 or above)
  2. A prompt will appear: “Certificates Found”
  3. Tap Import
  4. Wait for the import to finish – you’ll see a count of how many certificates were imported
  5. That’s it! Your certificates will sync to all your devices via iCloud within a few minutes

Transfer complete: Once imported, your certificates sync automatically to all your devices via iCloud.

What Gets Transferred

  • All certificates (Minor Works, EIC, Domestic EIC, EICR, and all other types)
  • All test results and circuit data
  • Distribution board details
  • Observations
  • Contractor details

What Doesn't Transfer

  • App settings and preferences – these are different between the two apps
  • Subscription status – Cloud Pro has its own subscription

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I transfer more than once?

Yes. If you create new certificates in iCertifi after your first transfer, just repeat the steps above. Only new certificates will be imported – duplicates are automatically skipped.

What if I tap Not Now?

No problem. The prompt will appear again next time you open Cloud Pro.

What if I tap Never?

The prompt won’t appear again. If you change your mind, simply repeat Step 1 (export from iCertifi) and the prompt will reappear.

Will my original certificates be affected?

No. Your certificates in iCertifi are completely untouched. The transfer makes a copy – nothing is deleted or modified in the original app.

What if the import fails?

Your data is safe. The migration file is kept so you can try again next time you open Cloud Pro. If it keeps failing, please contact support.

Do I need to keep both apps installed?

After you’ve confirmed your certificates have transferred successfully, you can remove iCertifi if you wish. We’d recommend keeping it installed for a few days to be sure everything has synced properly.

I have certificates on multiple devices - do I need to transfer from each one?

No. Transfer from one device only. Once imported into Cloud Pro, your certificates sync automatically to all your devices via iCloud.
